the Social Evolution Research Gang (SERG)
Lori Gordon, Ashley Neese and Robin Lambert are collectively known as The Social Evolution Research Gang (SERG). Individually, their art practices have explored numerous social aspects of art and life, as a joint force they attempt to explore relational art practices. As a research unit, SERG are interested in the small, intimate aspects of daily life – napping, lunch, daydreams, love letters and reading – these social fragments examples of what they investigate. Oftentimes the moments which are inherently important, in order for life to have a sense of completion and fulfillment, are frequently the ones taken for granted and allowed to fall by the wayside. Working as unconventional researchers, SERU is artistically examining daily life in contemporary society.
