Davey Gravy

Davey Gravy is a Drawing Major studying at the Alberta College of Art + Design.

His most recent body of work merges the world of Hip Hop and Rap with embroidery and cross stitch. He is exhibiting work composed of stitched portraits, motifs, patterns, lyrics and phrases. This work explores juxtapositions between gender, race, and age. Humor and Kitsch are an entry point to these otherwise sensitive and opinionated topics.
