Alex Hunt - Balance Of It All
Alex HuntLife is about balance, obtaining and maintaining balance. My entire practice as an artist is centered around the act of balancing. My illustrative work focus on the act of pattern making most often found in the Art Nouveau movements. I also incorporate playful images of children in parkas, monsters and crows. The combination of these images create carefully layered pieces intended to provoke comforting nostalgia. -- Alex Hunt Balance Of It All will be exhibited at Nation Toys + Tees in Art Central

Art Central
Art Central is a visual art complex at the corner of Centre Street and 7th Avenue in downtown Calgary. Art Central has undergone a complete renovation in order to accommodate spaces for studios, art galleries, ancillary retail and related services, as well as a restaurant and café to serve the complex. Art Central opened in November of 2004.
