I work in the medium of stone to create pieces that physically engage the viewer and provoke thought. Stone is the foundation of the earth and our monuments and sculptures—forever changing and always reminding, stone is both the subject and material of my work.
Scale in relation to the human body is of prime interest to me. I am interested in how the components of a particular work formally relate to each other and to the viewer's body to enhance a direct mental and physical connection with the earth.

LAURA MOORE has been exhibiting work since 1998. Solo exhibitions include Kernel Memory at Thames Gallery
(Chatham ON), my sci-fi at PGP Gallery, where the sidewalk ends and 1:12 at Peak Gallery (both Toronto ON), and
CX205E at Anna Leonowens Gallery (Halifax NS).
