Nate
McLeod’s practice examines the relationship between artwork, exhibition
space, and viewer – initiating a triangular dialogue between the three.
In the exhibition Elementary Crystallography, McLeod utilizes the
multifaceted surfaces of simulated crystal formations in constructed
hybrids of painting and sculpture to force the viewer to explore the
work, restricted and guided by the relationship that each piece shares
with the exhibition space, and each other.
