Rouge Ciel - Calgary Underground Film Festival
September 14th at 9 pm.
Rouge Ciel is the first feature film devoted to Art Brut. Art Brut is a term coined by French artist Jean Dubuffet to describe art created outside the conventional dictates of the art world, focusing often on works by insane asylum inmates. Using an animated history of the Art Brut movement as a loose structure, Rouge Ciel features artwork from around the world and combines interviews with artists, curators and collectors to showcase these creators of a wholly new visual vocabulary. Director: Bruno Decharme Producer: Barbara Safarova
